Coming from one of the most fashionable families in the world, Baby Doll Pliner knows good design when she sees it.
Donald J. Pliner and Baby Doll Pliner were introduced to Leifers. At an in-store event for Fashion Group members only, Donald J. Pliner met with members to discuss trends, designs, fashion and, of course, shoes. Karl Krieg and Kathy Ellis were on hand to visit with Donald Pliner and share the NeoClassic doghouse concept with him and his favorite Maltese, Baby Doll Pliner. Intrigued with the concept, Mr. Pliner agreed to let Baby Doll be photographed with the house once the products were available.
Baby Doll is a star in her own right. She’s well extremely popular and traveled, “she travels with us, she even goes with us to Las Ventanas in Cabos and gets a massage there, minimum, once a year!” says father Donald J. Pliner.
We learned that Baby Doll was a gift to Mrs. Pliner (Lisa) to ease the pain after a miscarriage. Baby Doll is a huge part of their family. A few years ago, Lisa and Donald adopted a beautiful child from an orphanage in Kazakhstan — Star Emmanuelle. When we asked Donald how Baby Doll was liking his new baby sister, he smiled and said, “it’s been a transition.” He went on to tell us that Lisa is writing a book about the whole experience — what it’s like to have a human baby from a dog’s point of view.
The Pliner’s, Baby Doll included, plan on re-launching the Friends of Baby Doll Pliner pet collection in the very near future.
